Why can’t I create an alert for my whole TradingView watchlist?

Short answer

Watchlist alerts require current feature eligibility and a supported watchlist setup. Confirm the account can create them, then choose the watchlist and condition rather than building dozens of unrelated duplicate alerts.

What you may be seeing

  • The watchlist alert option is missing
  • Only single-symbol alerts are available
  • A list alert cannot be created for the selected watchlist

Most likely causes

  1. The account does not currently include watchlist alerts
  2. The selected list or condition is unsupported
  3. The workflow needs separate conditions rather than one list-wide condition

Try this first

  1. Open the intended watchlist and remove unsupported symbols
  2. Check current watchlist-alert eligibility
  3. Choose one condition that is valid for the whole list
  4. Create a test alert and verify the first trigger in Alert Manager

If that didn’t fix it

  1. Create a small number of high-value single-symbol alerts
  2. Split symbols into lists that share the same condition
  3. Use a screener when the goal is broad discovery rather than notification

Verify the fix

The watchlist alert is active, identifies the intended list and produces a testable notification for a supported symbol.

Why this happens

Watchlist alerts require current feature eligibility and a supported watchlist setup. Confirm the account can create them, then choose the watchlist and condition rather than building dozens of unrelated duplicate alerts.

A watchlist alert applies a condition across symbols in a list. It is useful only when the same logic makes sense for every symbol, and it should not be used to hide different market-specific conditions inside one alert.
