Why can’t I export TradingView chart data to CSV?

Short answer

Use the chart menu and choose Export chart data. If the command is unavailable, confirm the chart context and current account eligibility before assuming the browser download failed.

What you may be seeing

  • Export chart data is missing or disabled
  • The CSV contains less history than expected
  • The download completes but indicator columns are missing

Most likely causes

  1. The export was opened from the wrong page or chart context
  2. The requested data is not loaded on the chart
  3. Current feature access or browser download settings block the workflow

Try this first

  1. Open the intended chart and load the required symbol and indicators
  2. Open the chart menu and select Export chart data
  3. Choose the time format and export options
  4. Check current feature eligibility if the command is unavailable

If that didn’t fix it

  1. Export Strategy Tester data for strategy results
  2. Use the available chart history rather than assuming older bars are included
  3. Check browser download permissions and retry

Verify the fix

A CSV file downloads, opens correctly and contains the expected timestamps, price data and selected indicator columns.

Why this happens

Use the chart menu and choose Export chart data. If the command is unavailable, confirm the chart context and current account eligibility before assuming the browser download failed.

The export contains the data currently available to the chart and may include indicator values. It does not grant rights to redistribute exchange data, and available history is still constrained by the source and account access.
