Why isn’t real-time exchange data included with my TradingView plan?

Short answer

A TradingView platform plan and an exchange market-data entitlement can be separate products. Check the symbol source and its data status, then subscribe only to the exchange feed your workflow actually requires.

What you may be seeing

  • The account has a paid plan but a symbol is still delayed
  • The chart is real time while the broker order panel is delayed
  • A delayed-data badge appears for a specific exchange

Most likely causes

  1. The exchange charges separately for real-time data
  2. The chart and broker panel use different sources
  3. The subscription covers a different exchange or market

Try this first

  1. Open the symbol information and identify its exchange source
  2. Check whether the chart shows delayed or real-time status
  3. Confirm the required exchange entitlement at TradingView or the broker
  4. Purchase only the feed needed and verify it after activation

If that didn’t fix it

  1. Use the delayed feed for non-time-sensitive research
  2. Choose another legitimate source that meets the analysis need
  3. Verify broker-supplied data before placing live orders

Verify the fix

The selected symbol shows the expected real-time status and the chart or broker order panel uses the intended licensed source.

Why this happens

A TradingView platform plan and an exchange market-data entitlement can be separate products. Check the symbol source and its data status, then subscribe only to the exchange feed your workflow actually requires.

The chart can use TradingView data while a connected broker order panel uses broker-supplied Bid and Ask quotes. Buying one feed does not automatically activate the other, so verify the executable quote at the broker too.
