Why did my TradingView alert expire or stop automatically?

Short answer

Open the alert in Alert Manager and check its expiration or timer. If it expired, create or restart the alert with the duration that fits your plan and use case.

What you may be seeing

  • An alert that used to work is now inactive
  • Alert Manager shows an expired or stopped alert
  • The alert stopped around a predictable date or time

Most likely causes

  1. The alert reached its configured expiration time
  2. The alert duration available on the account was shorter than expected

Try this first

  1. Open Alert Manager
  2. Check the alert status and expiration time
  3. Create or restart the alert if it has expired
  4. Set a suitable timer when creating the replacement

If that didn’t fix it

  1. Review your plan if you need longer-running alert duration
  2. Make sure the alert was not stopped for another reason such as excessive triggering

Verify the fix

Confirm the replacement alert shows as active and that its expiration date is later than the period you need.

Why this happens

TradingView alerts can have an expiration period. When the configured timer is reached, the alert is automatically stopped.

Some plans also support longer or open-ended alert duration. If an alert suddenly stopped after working normally, expiration is one of the first things to check.
