Open TradingView Supercharts and click the Pine icon on the right toolbar. Pine Editor can float, dock to the right, or detach into a separate window or tab.
What you may be seeing
- You cannot find Pine Editor at the bottom of the chart
- An older TradingView tutorial shows Pine Editor in a different location
- You want to open Pine Script beside the chart
Most likely causes
- TradingView has changed the Pine Editor interface and placement over time
- You are following an older screenshot or tutorial
- The editor is closed or detached from the current chart
Try this first
- Open a TradingView Superchart
- Find the Pine icon on the right toolbar
- Click Pine to open Pine Editor
- Choose floating, docked, or detached mode depending on how you want to work
If that didn’t fix it
- If the editor was detached, switch to the existing Pine Editor browser window or tab
- Use TradingView's current Pine Editor help page if your interface differs from an older tutorial
Verify the fix
Pine Editor opens and you can create, edit, save, and add a Pine script to the chart.
Why this happens
In the current TradingView Supercharts interface, open Pine Editor from the Pine icon on the right toolbar. TradingView now lets the editor open as a floating panel, dock to the right side of the chart, or detach into a separate browser window or tab.
If an older tutorial tells you to look for a Pine Editor tab at the bottom of the chart, the interface it shows may be outdated. Use the current Pine icon first, then choose the display mode that fits your workflow.
